A faster way to capture your thoughts
Most of us still hunt for somewhere to write things down. We open a new tab, search for a notes app, sign up for an account, accept a cookie banner, dismiss a paywall — and by the time we are ready to type, the idea is gone. This online notepad was built for that moment. It opens instantly, runs entirely in your browser and asks for nothing. No login, no installation, no tracking. Just a clean page that is ready the second you are.
Multiple notes, side by side
The sidebar on the left lets you keep dozens of notes in one place and jump between them with a single click. Pin the ones you use every day to the top, search through the full list to find an old draft, and create a fresh blank note with Ctrl/Cmd+N whenever an idea hits. Each note autosaves as you type, so there is no Save button to remember and no risk of losing work if you accidentally close the tab. Your notes are stored privately in your own browser using local storage, which means they stay on your device and never travel to any server.
Find & Replace, the way it should work
Press Ctrl/Cmd+F to open Find & Replace at the top of the editor. Type any word or phrase to highlight matches and see a live count, toggle Match Case when you need precision, and use Replace All to clean up an entire document in one stroke. It is the fastest way to rename a character across a story, swap a placeholder URL for the real one, or fix a recurring typo without scrolling line by line.
Comfortable to read for hours
Long writing sessions deserve a comfortable canvas. Adjust the font size with a single click, switch the editor to dark mode when the sun goes down without changing the rest of your interface, and resize the writing area as much as you like. The status bar under the editor shows live word count, character counts with and without spaces, total lines and an estimated reading time at 225 words per minute — useful for blog posts, scripts and presentations where length really matters.
Export when you are ready
When a note is finished, send it where it needs to go. Download a single note as a plain .txt or Markdown .md file, or export your entire collection as a JSON backup that you can import later or move to another device. There is no lock-in: your words belong to you, in formats that work with every editor on the planet.
Private by design
Everything happens inside your browser. Your notes are not uploaded, not analysed, not used to train anything. Close the tab and they wait quietly until you come back. Clear your browser data and they are gone for good — which is exactly how a notepad should behave.
