Sorting modes
Alphabetical sorts lines A–Z using locale-aware comparison. Numerical reads the first number in each line and sorts by its value — useful for bullet-pointed numbered lists or log entries. By length places shortest lines first, or longest first when reversed. Shuffle randomises the order, useful for randomising quiz questions or playlist items.
Common uses
Sorting CSV exports before diffing them, alphabetising bibliography entries, ordering priority lists, deduplicating and alphabetising keyword lists for SEO, or preparing randomised quiz answer options. The tool updates the output in real time so you can experiment with different options instantly.
